What is the process if my unit breaks and I have Sound Assurance?
Our Technical Support Team is ready to take your call and assist with diagnosing any specific issue that you may be having. If Technical Support deems your unit needs to come in for repair, they will then work with you step by step on getting your system here to Sound as quickly as possible. Depending on the level of Sound Assurance a loaner or rental system may be available while yours is being repaired.
What is the process if my unit breaks and I DON’T have Sound Assurance?
The process if your unit has an issue will be the same regarding Technical Support. The major difference is there are fees that apply with each step for getting your unit back up and running. Our Warranty Specialists are available to discuss and breakdown the fee’s and process involved. They will also answer any other questions you may have.
What coverage options are available?
For Small Animal DR Units Sound offers three Sound Assurance options – Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Gold is the most popular as it is the level you receive for the 1st year of owning your system. Each level offers a variety of benefits that would best fit your practice’s needs and budget. With each level of Sound Assurance, you know your investment is protected.

What is the duration of my coverage?
Sound offers Sound Assurance for up to 7 years from your unit’s first image date.

What is the process if my unit breaks and I have Sound Assurance?
Our Technical Support team does their very best to fix your unit remotely. They are successful most of the time, but here’s what would happen if your unit needs to come in for repair: A Tech Support representative would issue an RMA (Return Material Authorization) and provide you with packing materials, if necessary. Your unit would arrive in our Service Department and the repairs are typically completed within 1-3 business days.
If you have the Platinum or Equine level of coverage, then you will be shipped a free loaner unit for next business day delivery.
If you have the Silver or Gold levels of coverage, you may rent a unit during the repair period.
What is the process if my unit breaks and I DON’T have Sound Assurance?
Our Technical Support team will do their best to fix your unit remotely, and fortunately, they are successful most of the time. Here’s what would happen if your unit needs to come in for repair: We would issue an RMA (Return Material Authorization) and provide you with packing materials, if necessary. Your unit should arrive in our Service Department within 2 business days, then we will provide you an estimate of repair time and costs. The repairs are typically completed within 2-3 business days. Depending on availability, you may rent a probe or entire system while yours is being repaired.
Our Warranty Specialists are available to discuss and breakdown fees involved and answer any other questions you may have.
What coverage options are available?
We offer four Sound Assurance options – Silver, Gold, Platinum and Equine. Platinum tends to be the best fit for most practices. The primary difference between the Silver and Gold levels is the probe deductible. The primary difference between the Gold and Platinum levels is that Platinum & Equine includes a free loaner unit if your unit needs to come in for repair.

What type of ultrasound systems are covered?
We offer coverage on select portable ultrasound systems. Our Sound Assurance specialists are happy to answer any questions you may have.
What is the duration of my coverage?
The initial purchase of the LOGIQ™ e unit always includes 1-year of GE warranty for free. After the first year, we can offer Sound Assurance coverage for up to the next 5 years.

What is the process if my unit breaks and I have Sound Assurance?
doctorVet – Small Animal Laser
Our Technical Support Team is ready to take your call and assist with diagnosing any specific issue that you may be having. If Technical Support deems your unit needs to come in for repair, they would then work with you step by step on getting your system here to Sound as quickly as possible. Platinum Sound Assurance with the doctorVet includes an advance replacement system, meaning a unit will be overnight shipped to your location. You simply place your system in the packaging of the replacement unit and return it to Sound.
Smart RLT – Regenerative Laser Therapy
Our Technical Support Team is ready to take your call and assist with diagnosing any specific issue that you may be having. If Technical Support deems your unit needs to come in for repair, they would then work with you step by step on getting your system here to Sound as quickly as possible. Depending on the level of Sound Assurance, a loaner or rental system may be available while yours is being repaired.
Under our Gold level of coverage, you will be shipped a free loaner unit for next business day delivery. A Tech Support representative would be available over the phone to talk you thru the installation of the loaner. You will have access to the loaner unit for the entire duration of your unit’s repair time.

Smart RLT – Regenerative Laser Therapy
Our Technical Support team will do the best they can to fix your unit remotely. Hourly rates will be applied for normal business hours and after hours calls. Our Technical Support team is successful most of the time with making remote repairs, but here’s what would happen if your unit needs to come in for repair: A Tech Support representative would be available over the phone to talk you through the return process. We would issue an RMA (Return Material Authorization) and provide you with packing materials, if necessary. Your unit should arrive in our Service Department within 2 business days, then we would provide you with an estimate of repair time and costs before any work is performed.

Every doctorVet laser is placed with a 5-year Platinum Sound Assurance. This includes one fiber/handpiece replacement per year at no charge.
